Description
Sheds are an important part of our home, often storing expensive equipment like mowers and strimmer’s. Yet all too often they rely on cheap, thin felt to keep them weather tight. Well, not any more! We have standard-sized rubber roofing shed roof kits with compromised EPDM rubber roofing membrane sheets and adhesives to complete the job.
Our rubber roofing shed kits are ideal for new builds as an upgrade to the provided felt or as a replacement roof for existing sheds.
Shed Kit Contains
- 4m x 4m of 1.14mm Shed Membrane Sheet
- Water Based Deck Adhesive
- Adhesive roller

Our Kits are designed to fit standard garden shed sizes. Whilst we have allowed enough excess membrane to the width and length, please check the sizes against your shed, as sizes differ between shed manufacturers.

- Carefully remove the existing timber edge trims (fascias). If they are in good condition, put them to one side so you can re-fit them later.Remove the old roof covering (usually felt), any exposed nails, all sharp surfaces, and repair/replace any rotten deck boards. We recommend using OSB3 board if you need to replace them fully.
- Ensure that your deck surface is clean, dry, frost-free, and free from dust, grease, loose material, and other contaminants. Unwrap the EPDM Rubber Roof Membrane and place it unfolded on the shed roof, ensuring equal coverage. Wait for approximately half an hour for the sheet to relax.
- Fold back half of the membrane onto itself to expose the timber deck underneath. Apply the WBA Deck Adhesive evenly over the roof deck with the Roller supplied. With the adhesive still wet, roll the membrane back into position using a soft broom to ensure no air is trapped underneath the membrane and ease any creases. Repeat the process for the other half of the roof.
- Cut off any excess membrane using sharp scissors or a knife, leaving approximately 50mm overhang. Fold the membrane back on itself and fix using galvanised clout nails or with a timber batten.
