Roof lights are designed to let in as much light as possible while keeping the framework to a minimum. We offer a range of great designs with imaginative engineering and products which are built to last. Choose from our comprehensive range of roof lights to suit your indoor space. We can even design bespoke lights such as pitched roof lights. The trade range that we supply is one of the most in demand UPVC products on the market.
Offering a sleek design with a contemporary style, it is also Part L compliant ( only when used with Triple Glazed Polycarbonate). Constructed from high quality and long lasting UPVC, our rooflight range also provides an integrated water management system to repel water on the outside of the roof light. Internally, the light is white UPVC, offering a clean and simple finish.
The trade range Kerb options are great because they provide a ribbed section on the upper side of the external wall. This strengthens adhesion to offer a number of waterproofing solutions. Manufactured using the latest techniques, all products in the trade range are crafted using the CNC manufacturing process which ensures accuracy and consistency in each unit that we produce.
Kerb roof lights are designed to be installed at the finished roof level and is an excellent solution for retrofitting an existing flat roof. Our trade range is 168mm high and splays in from the base section by 100mm on either side. Furthermore, the 60mm base fixing flange allows a seamless installation on flat or inclined roofing structures. U Values for this profile is 2.05 w/m2K
Effective air flow in your home is really important and you should ensure that you have as much fresh air circulating as possible. Our range of vented roof lights are available with a range of ventilation options to suit the requirements of your home.
What’s more, our roof lights in this range can be fully ventilated with either Titon Hit and Miss Vents or Rotary Vents. Controllable rotating ventilation allows greater ventilation in the trickle vent area, creating a space with maximum airflow. Vents can be fitted to two or four sides of each unit.
Fixing Kerb to Roof/Upstand
Place kerb to suit over roof opening size, once happy with posisitioning drill pilot holes approximately 300mm Centres, then fix down with appropriate fixings (i.e wood screws, metals screws, etc)
Fixing Rooflight to Kerb
Place neoprene tape supplied with rooflight in the centre of the kerbs fixing flange onc e in place centralise the rooflight on top of the kerb and fix down with self tapping screwqs along with the seala washers and caps.
Polycarbonate (Solid Sheet)
IV protected polycarbonate offers high impact resistance as well as a variety of glazing options: clear; diffused and bronze.
Double Skin 2.6 W/m2k
Triple Skin 1.8 W/m2k
a high light transmission, allows full vision of views & objects, minimum privacy.
a high light transmission, increased privacy, reduced glare and shadows.
a low light transmission, reduced solar heat gain, cuts down the brightness of sunlight.
The solar gain (‘G’ value) can be improved to a more manageable level by introducing varying tint interlayers to the polycarbonate rooflight construction thus reducing the heat build up occurring from transmittance through the rooflight glazed area.
Typical airborne sound reduction for a Triple skin rooflight is 30-35dB.
Products comply with current UK Building Regulations covered under BS 476 and European Standards under BS EN 13501.
As an alternative to polycarbonate, safety glass is very popular in the commercial and retail environment, Toughened glass is manufactured using a heat tempering process, which in turn produces a very versatile material in contemporary architecture. Laminated glass provides benefits such as sound reduction, added security and additional safety. Various glass options are available on request.
Security fixings with seala caps and washers are supplied with all polycarbonate rooflights. We do not supply fixings to secure the kerb to the deck nor do we supply flashings with the rooflights. EPDM Flashings for Rubber Roof's can be found here.
